A Pool of Rain in My Heart

Wow.. um.. well.. this is a epic failure^^; It looks really awkward...The final piece turned out differently than I imagined... I wasn't really thinking of a no line picture, but I just did it. Doesn't look good -3- Half reality half manga style is really hard. This looks so bad T_______T I am sooo embarrassed..(my sis kept saying that guy looked like a psycopath..O_O I don't know why, but I hope he doesn't look like that to you)

Anyways, I was listening to Umbrella by Epik High few months ago, and for some reason I kept saying this one word wrong. Instead of ankle( Bal mok 발목 ), I kept saying Heart( mind/ Ma eum 마음 ), and they are completely different words! But I liked it =D The line went like, '...a pool of rain under my ankle'(something like that.. bad translation) but instead I kept saying '...a pool of rain in my heart'. So I decided to draw something related to it.

I guess rain here would be 'tears', and there's a pool of tears in her heart. And that guy is trying to be the umbrella that prevents her from getting rain poured over her(prevents her from crying.. or something like that). I can't really explain because I haven't organize the idea much. Although, in the song, it's the opposite because the lover leaves the partner.

I started to work on this on June 29th, and finished it today. This piece took kinda long... o_o

I stared at it for a few moments thinking 'oh my god it's so beautiful' over and over again.
You have mad tablet skills, you really do.
And the message of this picture is really powerful, at least I think it is. ^^ :heart:

First of all, you demote yourself WAAAYYY too much!! I think your painting technique is awesome, the skin and such are SOO smooth! I got inspired to do some no line painting after your last one and it's damn difficult! A lot of features of the face looks blended together and I'm not so sure how to create the idea of an edge. But I guess you put a lot of work into it (how long did it really take?)

p.s. sorry but the guy does look a bit emotionally unstable >.<
